Coach Diane Morey brings decades of elite-level experience in throwing events and a deep passion for mentoring student-athletes. A former collegiate athlete at Bryant College, she competed in events ranging from hammer and discus to the 400 hurdles and relays. Since then, she has remained active through USATF Masters competition—earning multiple national championships and silver medals in superweight, throw pentathlon, and ultraweight pentathlon events between 2018 and 2022. Coach Morey began coaching youth sports in 2003 and has led Bishop Brady’s throwing program since 2010, becoming head coach of both indoor and spring track & field in 2012. She holds a USATF Level 2 throws certification and is a certified official at both the state and national levels, regularly officiating high school through championship-level collegiate meets. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in building technical excellence, competitive confidence, and personal discipline. Coach Morey believes track and field offers every athlete the opportunity to pursue individual growth while contributing meaningfully to the success of the team. Her decades-long dedication—both on the field and behind the scenes—continues to elevate Bishop Brady’s track and field program each season.
